Big news

Wed Nov 18, 2009, 5:25 PM
I don't want to jinx it since the contract is not yet in my sweaty little hands, but, knock on wood, over the next year I'll be working with First Second Books to create my own adaptation of the weird, hallucinogenic Nutcracker And The Mouse King, based on the original story by ETA Hoffman (a lot weirder than the ballet, if you can imagine). I like First Second a lot, and the editor I'm working with is great, so I'm really excited about this.

P.S. The fashion blog is going ahead full steam. I haven't forgotten about it, guys! I'm building up a buffer! I plan to launch it the first Sunday of January; I figure nobody's going to be excited about fashion during the holiday season. It'll be once a week, published on Sunday.

Thinking about starting a fashion blog

Fri Sep 25, 2009, 11:36 AM
I want to start a limited series fashion blog that goes for 100 posts, where instead of photos I have illustrations (not of me, blegh, but a la Garance Dore), because I might not be able to afford physical clothes, but I can mentally construct them, yeah? Do you think it kinda misses the point of fashion blogs, especially personal style blogs? (Also consider what my tastes run to. It'll look like Space Nomads a lot of the time, while at other times I'll probably feel like drawing from more wearable street fashion.)

Well. What do you guys think? Do you think I should do it? Would anyone read it?

San Diego Comic-Con

Tue Jul 21, 2009, 9:36 AM
Hi guys! I'm gonna be at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend! It's my first time going, and I managed to snag a pro badge because of my Dark Horse comic, so I'm there for all four days, although I'll be arriving late on Thursday.

Right now I only know a few tables where people are gonna be at: ~somefield at the Popgun booth Thursday, *Pocketowl at booth 1234, a couple people in the artist's alley, so if you have a table at Comicon and/or just want to hang out, let me know! :3

Taking orders for mini-comics

Fri Apr 24, 2009, 2:49 PM
I'm taking orders for mini-comics!

Sleeper: $3
Aubergine: $3
Melontaro: $4
Tomato & Basil: $5
And add an extra $1 for shipping!

Three ways to pay!

1. If you have Paypal, total up the comics you want and send the total to [k . angie . wang @ gmail.com] and include your order details and shipping address! I'll send you an email confirmation and mail your comics out!

2. If you don't have Paypal but you would like to pay by debit/credit card, send me an email at [k . angie . wang @ gmail.com] with your address and order, and I'll total up your order and send you back a Paypal money request. Once I receive confirmation of payment, I will mail your comics out!

3. If you don't like Paypal, you can instead request to send me a check or well-concealed cash in your email, and when I receive the check/cash I will mail out your shipment!

I put them together as carefully as I could but they're basically xeroxed and pieced together by hand, so they're a little irregular. Um. I hope it's not too disappointing!

(Goddamn, DA! Stop ruining my email links!)

Stumptown Comics Fest

Thu Apr 16, 2009, 12:54 AM
Stumptown Comics Fest is this weekend, and I have a table that I'll be sharing with Jason Fischer, aka ~StudioJFISH, and also some person I don't know! If you're in the Portland area, please drop by my table and say hi! I'm friendly. :3
