This is such an old picture, from nearly two years ago. I remember it took two or three days of drawing in class to finish. I just found it again digging through my Photobucket account--I mean, I still sort of like it, I don't know. I don't feel like I've made much progress in terms of skill in two years. Maybe it's time to switch gears and work on color.
Also, whoops, the outfits are Mycenaean.
I do think my style's become less... frozen? And more energetic. Comparing this with A Dream of Jealousy, I think the latter definitely has more movement. So there is that.
I don't know if I would call this frozen, but I can see a definite increase in energy in your more recent works. Still, the detail in this picture is insane.
Holy crap. What an incredible composition ...... you really ink very, very well. I wish I had the skill and patience to achieve something of this calibre ... it's so beautiful.
Yeah, this is a bit static (your more recent work has a great deal of flow, which I think in part comes from the increased surreality). Still impressed by your meticulous detail, your skill with shade and patterns. Whew.

I actually kind of like the frozen-ness. My thought is, she's surrounded by all the pleasures of the world, and yet she's sort of dead inside. Dunno if that's what you were going for. It's quite an impressive piece regardless.
