Artist's Comments
The idea came to me a week ago and the entire comic took me about three days to draw. I redrew the first page twice before deciding that I simply wouldn't redraw if I messed up, so sorry about the mistakes, etc.
It used to be called "Tomato Loves Basil" until I noticed the accidental resemblance of the characters to the ones in the webcomic Anders Loves Maria. Yikes. Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-26The suggester wrote: "Under the guise of a pasta sauce recipe, ~okchickadee tells a tragic tale of love lost, found, then cooked, in Mini-Comic: Tomato And Basil . Opening with a colour panel, the rest of the comic is done in sets of four B&W panels that are read clockwise. ~okchickadee makes full use of this interesting concept, arranging it in such a manner that the reader can read each set of panels as an infinite loop.
