Neil Gaiman's Death & Delirium set in ancient China, as requested by the commissioner.
Some things I should probably explain for context?? A common pattern for clothing at the time was red with gold patterned circles, but for Delirium it seemed appropriate to fill those circles with bizarre anachronisms. The rooster is being dressed up with a fake beard from the Beijing Opera and a Tang Dynasty hat. Death is wearing white instead of black because white is the color of death, and her makeup is modeled after Beijing Opera makeup. |
